What is it about earning millions of dollars that makes people want to sue you so bad? First it was the pseudo-historian authors of Holy Blood and The Holy Grail, and now some Russian dude has followed suit.
St Petersburg based historian, Mikhail Anikin is threatening to sue Brown over allegedly copying his book "Leonardo Da Vinci, Or Theology in Paint", in which he claims to crack the paintings code, arguing that the painting is an allegory, composed of Madonna and Christ's image. Call me cynical, but somehow I doubt anyone would be suing Brown if the book hadn't become a huge hit, its disgusting the lengths people will go to just to get some easy money.
Hmm, now I come to think of it, Dan Browns book is awfully similar to an undergraduate essay I wrote about religious art history... Now, where did i leave my lawyer's phone number...
